Distance between two points P0 (x0,y0) and P1 (x1,y1):

   A = x1 - x0
   B = y1 - y0

   (x1-x0)*(x1-x0) + (y1-y0)*(y1-y0) = C*C

   dist = C = sqrt((x1-x0)*(x1-x0) + (y1-y0)*(y1-y0))


Distance between two 3D points P0 (x0,y0,z0) and P1 (x1,y1,z1):

   dist = sqrt((x1-x0)*(x1-x0) + (y1-y0)*(y1-y0) + (z1-z0)*(z1-z0))
