Installing Python & OpenGL

To configure your computer to run Python/OpenGL programs, you must do the following:

• Install OpenGL
• Install Python
• Install PyOpenGL

Shortcuts:

Windows

• pyopengl-win32.zip - contains python-2.5.4.msi & OpenGL-3.0.1a2.win32.exe

Mac OSX

• 10.2: py_kitchensink_8Mar2003.dmg
• 10.3: See VisionEgg docs
• 10.4: OSX_10_4_PyGL.tgz - a tar file of my copy of PyOpenGL and PIL compiled under 10.4. Unpack the tar file, and add the directory it creates to your PYTHONPATH environment variable.
        OSX_pygame.tgz - a tar file of my copy of pygame. Unpack in the same directory as PyOpenGL and PIL.
